Back on June 1st I flew down to Naples, FL to meet my father and then drive his car back to Boston. We were debating on driving straight through or stopping overnight. We ended up driving straight through. We left Naples at 630am and arrived back in Boston around 9am the following day. It was very difficult to stay awake and drive all night, but we did it.
I had to drive the car back in October and since it was my 35th birthday and Adam's 40th we gathered a group of friends together and met in Miami for a weekend. I drove the car down, by myself, but this time I stopped in North Carolina for a quick overnight then finished up my trip later the next day. I did get a flat tire on 95 in Wilmington, DE but that only detoured me a few hours as I had to go to a sports car tire shop to have the tire replaced. I was lucky the flat happened at 4pm and places were open instead of happening at night.
Adam flew into Miami, drove over to Naples to pick me up, then we drove back to Miami to meet our friends. It's only a 2 hour trip. We stayed at the Gansevoort Hotel. The rooms were spectacular and the roof top pool and DJ were incredible. I would definitely stay there again.
We only had a few days, so we just hung out at the pool the entire time and never went to the beach but that was fine with us. Drinks were very expensive; a picture of Sangria for $85 and half of it was ice. At night we went to Lincoln for dinner at Sushi Samba and a few other places, then out to Score Saturday night.
